Preparing ESL and ELL lessons can be very time consuming because they’re usually very focused on the specific needs or wishes of the students. That means teachers must do a lot of research into different subject matters while trying to keep the lessons interesting.

One way to cut down on preparation time is to take ideas from teacher’s books, get ideas from activity books, or bring games or flashcards into the classroom. A short, fun activity for each lesson can make a difference in the motivation of students, and for you as a teacher.
