Conditions of Participation, as of 25.09.2024, for participation in language courses for adults, private courses, children’s courses and tutoring for school-aged pupils.

1. By registering for the courses at Englischgarten, the conditions of participation stated here are recognised as valid at the time of registration.

A) Participation and booking of group courses and one-to-one lessons

​

2. The costs of the recommended teaching materials shall be borne by the course participants or the respective contractual partner, unless these are expressly described as included in the registration form.

3. The minimum number of participants in group lessons is 3 for all courses.

​

4. Payment: After receipt of your registration, you will receive the invoice for the course you have chosen. After receipt of payment, you will receive the booking confirmation.

5. Lessons cancelled due to teacher illness will be made up, whereby the duration of the course will be extended accordingly. Englischgarten reserves the right to substitute another teacher.

6. Lessons missed by the participant must be paid for. It is possible to make up for these in parallel courses (if available).

​

7. Englischgarten reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses if the minimum number of participants (3 persons) is no longer reached.

​

8. Termination of group courses: No notice of termination is required after the contract period confirmed by us has expired. This is done automatically.

​

9. Cancellation is possible free of charge 7 days before the start of the course. Up to 48 hours before the start of the course you will be charged 25 % of the course fees. If the registrant cancels less than 48 hours before the start of the course, in the event of non-attendance at the start of the course, or premature termination, 100% of the course fees will be charged.

10. Place of jurisdiction is Greifswald.

 

B) Participation in private lessons, individual tutoring and company lessons

11. One teaching unit (TU) is 45 minutes. One lesson consists of two units. The costs of the recommended teaching materials are borne by the course participants or the respective contractual partner, unless these are expressly described as included in the registration form.

12. Payment: Upon receipt of your registration, you will receive an invoice for the course you have chosen. After receipt of payment, you will receive the booking confirmation.

13. Lessons cancelled due to illness of the teacher will be made up. The date of the lesson must be agreed upon with us individually. Englischgarten reserves the right to substitute another teacher.

​

14. Appointment cancellations/changes: Participants of one-on-one lessons, one-on-one tutoring and company lessons must cancel or rebook pre-agreed appointments in good time, 24 hours in advance. Appointments that are not cancelled or cancelled too late cannot be made up for and will be charged 100%. Lessons not taken but booked and paid for can be cancelled up to a period of three months and expire after the third month.
