An ambitius queer filmmaker takes on the direction of the next instalment in the financially struggling slasher film series “Camp Miasma”. Whilst preparing for the shoot, she immerses herself in the original film and develops an ever-growing fascination with its legendary “Final Girl”. Eventually, she manages to persuade the former lead actress – who has been living in seclusion for years – to return to the film series. However, the collaboration does not go as expected. As she gets to know her, the director finds herself increasingly under the spell of the mysterious woman and gradually loses her grip on the line between reality and imagination. Delusions, desire and underlying fears become intertwined, so that the boundaries between her work on the film and her own perceptions become increasingly blurred.
