WHY DO I USE AFFILIATE LINKS?

While my main job is teaching and offering language services, the work is unstable. Contracts often end without notice, and during holiday seasons there is no work. In order to maintain an income through the less busy periods and meet the costs of website maintenance, I have to generate an income. Using the affiliate links to make purchases helps me keep working and offering my services. That’s not only good for me, but also for people who are interested in my courses, language services, and blog.

HOW DO I DECIDE WHAT TO PROMOTE?

I brainstorm article ideas that I think would be interesting or beneficial for my readers. If I think a particular product or service would be useful for my readers I add a link to that. If that link happens to belong to an affiliate partner I will link it back to Englischgarten. What I do not do is promote a product or service I don’t believe in for the sake of earning a commission. This is counter-productive to my values.
